The HDD

Lets take a closer look at the HDD.

If you turn the HDD over you will see it is a Hitachi 2.5" SATA HDD. The capacity and other parameters are mentioned. The replacement drive need not be from Hitachi. Any 2.5" SATA HDD will work.

The harddisk has a custom sliver plate connected to it using four Philips screws. This plate must be removed and placed onto the new harddrive.

The HDD is now fully disconnected.

To connect a new HDD, screw the silver plate onto the new HDD and slide the new HDD back into the SATA port.
