Top Three Bluetooth Headsets for Under £20

Most mobiles today come equipped with Bluetooth which among other things allows you to connect to a Bluetooth headset and speak without having to hold your phone all the time. However the sheer choice of Bluetooth headsets and varying prices can make choosing a good headset quite a daunting task. I have explored and found three headsets that stand out form the crowd and wont steal your purse.

The first one to grab attention is the Nokia BH-102 Bluetooth Headset. It is small, weighs 11 grams but has an impressive battery life (10 hours), clear reception and transmission and supports Bluetooth 2.0. The other party will not feel you are talking from underwater! The thing to remember about this headset is that it is an in-ear headset which means you will be having some part inserted into your ear (like MP3 ear phones). This may not be a problem for most of us but it might prove uncomfortable if you have unusually small ear holes. The ear loop is optional.

The second one praised by many is the Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset. Again a light and very comfortable tear drop shaped headset with 8 hours of talk time. It weighs just 14 grams and has a multifunctional, one-touch button that lets you answer, end, make and reject calls. This headset is quite popular among PS3 users as well as mobile phone users. It has a blue backlit LED and provides extremely clear and static free sound, though few users have complained that this headset is not as loud as some of the others. It supports Bluetooth 2.0.

Plantronics Discovery 640 is the third headline grabbing headset. Just 2 inches long and weighing 9 grams this is a marvel. Again this headset has an in-ear style design but it comes with three soft gel ear tips in different sizes which make it easy adapt it for your ear size. The ear tips are extremely soft and comfortable, so if you have had trouble with in-ear headsets in the past this headset surely will change your opinion. It provides 5 hours of talk time and comes with an interesting package which includes an AAA charging adapter besides the mains adapter for charging the headset on the go. You can also use Nokia or Motorola chargers with it and do not need to lug around a separate charger if you have one of these phones. Besides you get top notch voice quality as one would expect from Plantronics1. This supports Bluetooth 1.2 and can be simultaneously linked to two phones.
